Dr Charlie Huang

As the Head of Product at BioCifer, Charlie is focused on building and leading the execution of BioCifer’s strategic design including the product development and commercialisation of novel molecular diagnostic technologies.  

He is an accomplished industrial leader with over 20 years of experience driving innovation and commercialisation in multidisciplinary fields, including in vitro diagnostics, life science reagents, and surface chemistry. He excels in guiding products from concept to market. His ability to align cutting-edge innovation with commercial objectives has consistently delivered impactful products and solutions that meet market demands and drive business growth. 

He has held senior leadership roles at industry-leading companies, including Panbio Ltd, Alere, Cellestis Ltd, QIAGEN, AnteoTech Ltd, and Mira (Quanovate Tech Inc.). In these roles, he has spearheaded high-impact product development programs, streamlined commercialisation processes, and ensured regulatory compliance, resulting in successful market launches and sustained competitive advantage. 

Charlie holds a BSc in Life Sciences and an MSc in Molecular Engineering from National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), as well as a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Queensland. A prolific innovator, he is a co-inventor on multiple granted patents spanning novel diagnostics, medical devices, metal-ion complex applications, and energy technologies. Additionally, he has authored numerous high-impact scientific publications, contributing significantly to advancements in his fields.
